Dr. Hussien Kassem

Dr. Hussien Heshmat is currently Professor of Cardiology at Cairo University. He is fellow of the American College of Cardiology, European Society of Cardiology, and the Society of cardiac angiographers and interventionists. He is currently consultant interventional cardiology in the UAE. He has performed 5000+ interventional procedures. His interests are primary PCI, complex coronary interventions, peripheral vascular interventions, percutaneous mitral valvotomy and heart failure management. He won four prizes in interventional cardiology in Egypt and UAE. He has 50 international publications with 600 citations. He is currently the associate editor of the Egyptian Heart Journal.
